Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Westgate)

Job Title : Registered Nurse Department : Emergency Department Location : Clifton Springs Hospital Hours Per Week : 36 Schedule : Rotating Day / Evening / Night SUMMARY : The R.N. maintains quality patient care through consistent standards of nursing practice in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Utilizes the nursing process : assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate to execute appropriate individual patient care. Responsible for orientation, training / precepting, and mentoring of other staff on the unit. The R.N. is instrumental in providing an exceptional experience for patient and family. RESPONSIBILITIES : Assessment - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family . Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family . Evaluation & Education - Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education / training specific to their needs and abilities . Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters . REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse license in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse. PAY RANGE : $38.22 - $50.96 CITY : Clifton Springs POSTAL CODE : 14432 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
