Job Title : Java Microservices Lead

Work Location : Miami, FL

Job Type : Temporary Assignment

Work Type : Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

Duration : 12+ Months

Job Description / Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design and development of microservices-based architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Architect and implement GraphQL APIs for efficient data querying and integration.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to define technical solutions.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and guide junior developers.
  • Integrate with containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Drive CI / CD implementation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards.

Required Skills :

  • 8+ years of experience in Java development, with 3+ years in a technical lead role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot 3, and Reactive Programming (WebFlux).
  • Proven experience in Microservices architecture, including Kafka, Couchbase, and RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL and API schema design.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), and SonarQube.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns, low-level design, and system architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
