Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Emergency Room Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day / Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years required License : Valid state RN license (can be pending) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have : - Experience in Emergency Department required - Experience in Medical-Surgical settings preferred - Ability to float to Medical-Surgical unit required - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required - OB experience preferred Description : This position requires an experienced registered nurse to work primarily in the Emergency Room. The nurse will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in the ER. The role involves floating to the Medical-Surgical unit as needed. The nurse will be expected to manage adult and pediatric patients. A basic understanding of dysrhythmias and their management is essential. Additional preferred experience includes working with obstetric patients. The shifts consist of three 12-hour days and three 12-hour nights. During daytime shifts, the nurse will typically care for a ratio of 1 : 4 patients. During nighttime shifts, the ratio will increase slightly to 1 : 6 patients. Weekend work is required, averaging six weekends per contract. Candidates must comply with general patient care protocols and documentation standards.
