• New Beginnings Christian Church (NBCC) is excited to announce our search for musicians to join our band. We seek dedicated and skilled musicians who can assist in advancing the work of the Lord. • This is a paid-position at the New Beginnings Christian Church Manassas, VA location. Members of the band will work under the direct supervision and authority of the Senior Pastor and Director of Music and Arts in helping to develop the music ministry of the church. Members of the band will work closely with the Praise Team and Audio / Visual (A / V) Team and provide support to the Director of the Music and Arts Ministry for worship services, special productions, and events.
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Attend band and praise team rehearsals (once a week for approximately 2 hrs)
• Attend Sunday morning run-through rehearsals and service (8am – 11am)
• Attend weekly bible studies and prayer meetings
• Play and assist for all special events including setup and breakdown of equipment
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
• Must have a heart to worship
• Must have 2+ years experience - preferably for a church environment
• Able to play by ear
• Able to teach parts to singers
• Able to lead rehearsals in the absence of the Director
• Able to communicate music material to team
• Able to assist the Director of Music and Arts in identifying, recruiting, training, and equipping other gifted individuals to become involved in the Music Department
• Live no more than an hour from church location
• Does not play for other services on Sundays
• Commit to NBCC statement of faith and mission
• Commit to growing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Available to meet with the Director of Music and Arts Monthly
