Job descriptionUtilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during shifts Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients / families and healthcare team Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Complete patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing Must successfully pass onsite BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test before starting assignment Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required Two years current experience in large emergency department required Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment Epic experience preferred but can train on-site Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Referral bonus
