Job descriptionProvide direct patient care to clinic patients (examine, diagnosis, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans) Participate in the review, development, and training of patient care policies, procedures, protocols, and standing orders Maintain health records for all patients and provide appropriate follow-up instructions through the use of electronic health records Provide continuity of care to patients and serve in rotation for after-hour care coverage Assume responsibility and accountability for delegating, directing, and supervising patient care activities Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine required Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Nebraska required Current DEA license required Knowledge of public health principles and practices is preferred Administrative experience as a physician in implementing community health programs preferred Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships Live and work in a community where you will find the charm and hospitality of a small town and the opportunities of a big city Enjoy the River Point District offering unique boutiques, specialty stores, a variety of bars and restaurants, farmers’ market, and outdoor events Explore the great outdoors with access to an extensive park systems including North Fork Whitewater Park, AquaVenture Water Park, Ta-Ha-Zouka Park and the Cowboy Trail, multiple water recreation areas, and golf courses Excellent schools and so much more!

The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Norfolk, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach, our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients’ health and believe that exceptional, compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Medical, dental, behavioral health, and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded, comprehensive care.
