OVERVIEW :
Responsible for performing fluoroscopy (C-arm) procedures in the operating room. Also responsible for participating in preoperative assessment of the patient, including C-arm procedures. Maintains and documents equipment are properly calibrated. Maintains log of all C-arm procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Completes duties according to the requirements of each approved procedure needing radiological support.o Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduled procedures according to physician's preference card.
o Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
o Confirms that all persons in the room are properly shielded before activating C-arm.
Applies the prescribed procedures to completely perform the radiology technician functions.o Follows principles and aseptic technique in performing duties during the procedure.
o Remains available during the procedure to provide timely response to physician or patient needs.
o Follows manufacturer's specifications and OSHA guidelines when performing C-arm procedures.
Performs required maintenance of equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage and calibration procedures as directed.o Handles equipment correctly to provide availability and safety.
o Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and the physician.o Documents records and other forms according to CENTER policy.
o Communicates information about the patient's status to others responsible for patient care.
o Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders and direction.

Associates Degree in Applied Science (A.S) or equivalent from two year college and technical school; six months to one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two (2) years of radiology technician experience preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
