      Unit Associate - Surgical Inpatient

      Full time - Evening Shift - 40 hours.

    • the schedule will include weekends.
    • The Unit Associate is responsible for a wide variety of tasks that help to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services to our patients. This is a fast-paced position where the associate will be required to work in collaboration with Nurses, Patients, and the Unit Coordinator. Daily tasks can include stocking items around the unit, monitoring expiration dates on items, ensuring that patient rooms are prepared for patient admissions, responding to non-medical patient requests like ordering food or changing bed linens, maintaining a clean work environment and other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency / urgent situations and to follow established procedures
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplied and procedures (highly preferred)
    • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
    • General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

    • Salary Range : Minimum 16.40 / hour - Maximum 19.02 / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
