Job descriptionAdminister prescribed medications to patients according to established protocols and physician orders. Prepare and organize medication doses, including oral, topical, and other forms as directed. Ensure medications are stored and handled in accordance with safety guidelines and regulatory Document patient interactions and report changes in patient conditions or behaviors by Document timely, accurate, and appropriate information in patient medical record. Identify self to patient and visitors promptly and respond to patient requests quickly. Completion of a Medication Technician / Aide training program as required by the state in which the Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication administration techniques. Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. Knowledge and experience working with the population of the facility preferred. Certification as a Medication Technician / Aide, as required by the state in which the facility is located. CPR and de-escalation / restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by First aid may be required based on state or facility.
