Entry-Level Police Officer

The City of Laurel, Mississippi will be giving a Civil Service Examination for the position of Entry-Level Police Officer on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 8 : 00 a.m. Interested persons must complete an application and sign-up before Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 4 : 30 p.m. to participate in the testing process. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements : At least 21 years of age, valid MS drivers license, high school diploma or GED, U. S. citizen and registered voter in the county where you reside, able to pass a background check, able to pass Entry-Level Police Officer Civil Service Examination, and able to attend and successfully complete MS Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy. Beginning Salary : $51003.16 annually.
