Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

WTTG / WDCA – Sports / Entertainment Anchor / Reporter (Regular Full-Time)

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is part of Fox Corporation and Fox Television Stations, world leading and valued media brands, airing the most hours of original programming in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia local television market. We are looking for a creative, forward-thinking individual with an engaging personality that can ignite conversations and turn interviews into compelling, newsworthy stories for multiple media platforms. Candidates must be comfortable using various platforms to engage viewers and provide the most essential local news and information to the community. The ideal candidate is curious, agile, and innovative with a focus for delivering timely and accurate news. Must be eager to dominate and be the first to report breaking news. Understanding the priorities and interests of the audience is key.

Dive into hosting both live and prerecorded streamed programming, reporting under tight deadlines in a fast-pasted, high-pressure environment. Collaborate seamlessly with producers, editors, and photographers to craft captivating news stories and features, both taped and live, that captivate viewers and boost ratings. Excel in working accurately and efficiently within time constraints. Leverage social media to attract, inform, and engage our audience. Showcase your ability to develop and maintain influential story sources networks, driving success and connection.

Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field required. 3+ years of news experience in a medium to large market. Recent experience and proficiency with newsroom computers, live news technology, and related software required. Varied hours including weekends and holidays.

Candidates must submit reel / link of recent work.

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24 / 7 operation. Candidates must have flexibility in scheduling evenings, early mornings, weekends as well as work all shifts in a 24 / 7 / 365 breaking news environment. Local / national travel. Must be able to work overtime, holidays, and varied hours. Candidate will also be required to join the SAG-AFTRA Washington-Mid Atlantic Local union for the on-air news unit.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $64.90-72.10 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
