Research Analytics Intern

Minimum Qualifications :

Current enrollment in baccalaureate or graduate degree program.

Desired Qualities :

Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint

Basic knowledge of a statistical program such as SAS SPSS STATA or R

Minimal experience with quantitative research methods

Capable of working independently and in a team-setting

Self-motivated

Ability to write succinctly and clearly

Flexible and adaptable to fluctuating circumstances

Interested in education policy and research

Experience working in a professional environment

• Works with Research Office and partnering DEW offices to define problems and opportunities that require new analysis research or evaluation;
• Collects data and information from publicly available sources;
• Assesses the quality and utility of available data and research;
• Develops tools and protocols for quantitative analysis;
• Analyzes data with statistical software (e.g. SAS SPSS R);

Creates data visualizations and summaries (e.g. Excel Tableau PowerBI ArcGIS); and

Assists in writing and editing reports and preparing presentations.
