Position Summary :
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth and market expansion for the organization's hospice services. This individual will lead a high-performing sales team, develop and execute sales strategies, and build strong relationships with referral sources, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders. The AVP will ensure alignment with the organization's mission, values, and regulatory standards while achieving aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement regional and national sales strategies to drive census growth and market share.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify growth opportunities.
- Team Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales Directors, Account Executives, and Community Liaisons. Teams are located in Indiana and Utah.
- Set performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and ensure accountability across the sales team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and excellence.
- Business Development :
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key referral sources including hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and community outreach initiatives.
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and new market opportunities.
- Operational Excellence :
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hospice marketing and sales.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and high-quality care.
- Utilize CRM and data analytics tools to track performance and inform decision-making.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales leadership experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare services.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive healthcare environment.Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, referral dynamics, and payer sources.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies.Willingness to travel regionally / nationally as neededPreferred Attributes :
