As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will provide exceptional patient care alongside anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals during medical and surgical procedures. Your role is vital in creating a patient-centric environment that addresses the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and functional needs of patients, families, and significant others.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-focused anesthetic care as a CRNA.
Possess a deep understanding of physiological considerations and anesthetic implications for surgical procedures while continuously monitoring vital signs in line with ASA guidelines.
Ensure proper documentation meets hospital and regulatory standards, safeguarding all forms of patient information from unauthorized access.
Exhibit unwavering professionalism, compassion, and commitment to high-quality patient care.
Pursue continuous learning and engagement in professional competency enhancement projects.
Qualifications
Education :
Completion of a certified Nurse Anesthesia educational program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Council on Accreditation and current APRN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
Experience :
Preferably have clinical experience as a CRNA, though not mandatory. All APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
Licensure :
Current AANA Certification, Connecticut RN and APRN License, ACLS, and DEA Registration.
Special Skills :
Ability to maintain sharp concentration under pressure, communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients, and respond promptly to anesthetic management needs. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Physical Demand :
A CRNA must demonstrate comprehensive intellectual, integrative, and quantitative abilities, observing and responding effectively to patient needs. Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and adapting to various clinical environments.
