Title : Oven Operator

Reports to : Production Supervisor Department : Production

Classification : Machine Operator Status : Non-exempt

Job Summary : The Oven Operator bakes all products according to company formulas, and operates the computerized panel control system. By maintaining company standards of quality, efficiency, and food and personal safety, produces excellent finished product.

To succeed in this position, the incumbent should :

  • Adhere to company rules of conduct and operating standards.
  • Adhere to all GMP’s and Safety regulations.
  • Follow directions closely and in a timely fashion
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.

Key Performance Indicators :

Principal Job Responsibilities :

  • Check and verify the production order with the Supervisor.
  • Input baking profile or set temperatures and bake time on oven panel control system.
  • Operate proofer ensuring proper temperature and humidity as well as proper transfer of dough.
  • Adjust program parameters (under the guidance of management only.)
  • Monitor oven discharge and ensure smooth and proper transfer of baked products.
  • Check finished moisture to ensure standard is met.
  • Make manual adjustments to compensate for program malfunctions if they occur.
  • Maintain the flow of production.
  • Report all mechanical malfunctions (do not attempt repairs)
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

    • Job Requirements :

  • Must be able to read / write (English) in order to maintain detailed mixing records and communicate with supervisors
  • Ability to operate a scale and follow formula sequence.
  • Computer input skills for operating oven panel control
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without assistance, as needed
  • Detail orientation
  • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters in order to effectively communicate with Supervision and other operators

    • FULL-TIME / PART-TIME : Full time

    SALARY : $20-$22 per hour

    S HIFT : 3rd Shift (9pm – 6am)

    AVAILABILITY : Open Availability (Must be able to work Holidays and Weekends)
