Are you a seasoned tax professional with a knack for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise in tax returns and CPA candidacy can be utilized to the fullest? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Permanent Senior Tax Manager to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role will be integral in leading our tax operations and ensuring the accuracy of tax-related financial information.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Senior Tax Manager, your role will be to oversee our tax department and ensure our company is in compliance with all tax regulations. You will be responsible for :

1. Leading and managing the tax reporting process, including the preparation, review, and submission of all federal, state, and local tax returns.

2. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.

3. Managing members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.

4. Ensuring the company maintains the appropriate level of risk and compliance with tax laws.

5. Collaborating with the accounting team to establish appropriate financial reporting systems, internal controls, and processes.

6. Responding to tax notices, preparing tax protests, and resolving tax audits.

7. Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

8. Advising management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities and on the implementation of tax strategies.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax codes, laws, and regulations. The following qualifications are required :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.

2. CPA candidate or certification is required.

3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.

4. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.

5. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.

6. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.

7. Analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9. Strong computer skills, particularly with tax preparation software and reporting tools.
