Job Description

Under general direction of the Team Leader(s) the Electronic Technician is responsible for repairing electronic product for manufacturing and field returns.

Essential Role Responsibilities :

  • Performs timely and efficient repairs of manufacturing product.
  • Tests control board assemblies utilizing a PC to retrieve various engineering documents including but not limited to : schematics, assembly layouts, test procedures, and work instructions.
  • Completes required supporting documentation for all returns.
  • Sets-up and operates various electronic test equipment using multi-meters, oscilloscope, counters, thermo-couple simulator, etc.
  • Ensures quality control on product line and the adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains clean and functional work stations, troubleshoot equipment as necessary, and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Promptly notify Team Leader regarding quality trends and issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s).

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player with the ability to work in multi-task environment
  • Knowledge of production / quality standards, and assembly procedures / processes
  • Work well independently, have electro-mechanical ability / aptitude, excellent hand and eye coordination
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, interpret electronic schematics, read bill of materials, use test equipment, and in-circuit testers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MRP Systems, and QAD (Preferred)

    • Essential Education & Experience :

  • High School Diploma and / or G.E.D
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Military Electronics Training
  • 1-2 years assembly experience of electro-mechanical products
  • 2-3 years electronic control repair
  • Food service manufacturing industry (Preferred)

  • Physical Requirements : Ability to sit or stand at assembly work cells for up to 6-8 hours at time
  • Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull up to 40 pounds
  • Work Conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • The work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to : eye safety goggles, steel toe shoes / boots, and hearing protections
