Pay Information $2,206 per week About The Position Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Long Term Care Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 12 Hour Variable Hours per Shift : 36 Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years preferred License : Licensed through the state Board of Nursing Certifications : RN, BLS Must-Have : - Team player with a positive attitude - Long-term care experience preferred - Must comply with COVID testing twice a week Description : The position involves caring for patients in a long-term care setting. The facility has 52 beds and serves stable patients, including those with dementia. Common diagnoses include typical nursing home patients and long-term residents. Collaboration with hospice RNs is required for comfort care patients. There are no tracheostomies or ventilators; occasional feeding tubes, IVs, and catheter care are expected. Patient ratios are as follows : - Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 25-30, with 2 nurses per shift (RN / LPN or LPN / LPN). - There must be an RN in the building for 8 hours daily. - Medication aides provide support with a 1 : 25-30 ratio. - CNA ratio is 1 : 10 with 5 on each shift. Required skills for RNs include : - Tube feeds - Ostomy care - Dressing and wound care - Phlebotomy - IV starts - Ability to act as Charge RN All positions require teamwork and a positive attitude. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may vary between days and nights. Weekend rotation is required, with a minimum of working every other weekend. You may be asked to work during major holidays. Time off up to 7 days is allowed without approval, with an extension required for longer absences.
