We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Mesa, AZ. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and property maintenance and upkeep in general. The Maintenance Technician will also manage maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client / tenant satisfaction, per department protocols.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order-related software programs
- Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
- Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocol
- Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
- Implement, with the Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
- Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.
- Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
- Act professionally and courteously at all times with tenants, hospital client, co-workers, vendors, patients, etc.
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe, productive manner
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Maintenance Technicians Requirements
2+ years of related work experience and technical trainingHigh school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance-related courses are preferred.Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications and written operational proceduresExcellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client / tenant / co-worker relationsBe able to take directions and follow instructionsMust be safety consciousAbility to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completionBasic aptitude for mathematics24-hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation.Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting / carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanicsWillingness to work overtime on special projects as required.Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportationBasic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related softwareHave working knowledge of tools and their proper useCFC Handling Certification is preferred
