Critical Care RN – Role Overview\n\nCritical Care Registered Nurses provide specialized care to patients experiencing life-threatening medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress, and other critical illnesses.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities : \n\n
Assess patient conditions and develop / implement individualized care plans\nTreat wounds and provide advanced life support\nAssist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures\nObserve, document, and interpret patient vital signs\nEnsure proper operation of ventilators, monitors, IABP, and other medical equipment; adjust settings as needed\nAdminister IV fluids, medications, and manage complex drips\nPerform airway management, including suctioning\nCollaborate with interdisciplinary members of the critical care team\nRespond to emergency, life-saving situations following established nursing protocols\nFunction as a patient advocate\nEducate and support patient families\nProvide care for pre- and post-operative critical patients\nSome critical care nurses may also serve as case managers, policy developers, or take on administrative roles\n\nFacility Requirements\n\nMust have recent LTACH experience, including trach and vent management\nRequired Certifications : AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (must be attached at submission)\nRequired License : OH RN or multistate RN license (must be attached to résumé)\n\nMANDATORY SUBMISSION TEMPLATE\n\nAll submissions MUST use the format below or they will be rejected.\n\nEmail Title / Subject Line : \n\n(SUBMISSION) – (CANDIDATE NAME) – (FACILITY NAME) – (SPECIALTY) – (POSITION ID)\n\nBody of Submission : \n\nYears of Clinical Experience : \nYears of Travel Experience : \nEMR Experience : \nCertifications on File : \n\nHas the candidate ever worked at a Kindred Hospital?
