The Insurance Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of middle-market to large commercial accounts, generating between $550K$1M in revenue. This position will include accounts from a wide range of industries with a focus on clients within specialized industries such as breweries and longshore operations, providing high-level service, risk management guidance, and strategic account support. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, with demonstrated experience managing complex accounts.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Manage and service a book of middle-market and large commercial accounts, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate renewal processes, coverage reviews, and policy changes in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Provide guidance on risk management and exposure analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze client reports, summaries, and risk management recommendations.
  • Handle certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within EPIC and maintain client files according to agency standards.
  • Utilize Excel, Word, and Adobe for reporting, documentation, and communication needs.
  • Assist in marketing new and renewal business opportunities as needed.
  • Support clients with claims and loss control coordination.

About You

5-7 years of experience in commercial insurance account management. Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Property & Casualty coverages. Experience with middle-market to large accounts ($550K$1M in revenue). Proficiency with Applied Epic, Excel, Word, and Adobe preferred. Familiarity with dividends, risk management, actuarial concepts, premium allocation, and exposure. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Insurance license (P&C or equivalent) required.
