We are seeking an individual who enjoys working in the financial services industry and would like to engage with the many professionals in the private client wealth management space at SIFMA member firms. This position will be based in NY and reports to the Managing Director, Head of Private Client Services.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with the Managing Director on member engagement through 21 Roundtables, each covering a different constituency and / or function within Private Client Services at SIFMA member firms.
  • Lead individual roundtable meetings and interact with the respective Chairpersons to establish agendas, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of private client issues, such as fiduciary responsibility, savings and retirement issues, holistic wealth management, marketing, investment products, financial planning, practice management, and management of financial advisors.
  • Develop written materials in both preparation and summation of meetings.
  • Interact with senior leaders in the industry, regulatory agencies, and Congressional staff.
  • Coordinate across SIFMA's business groups and staff advisors to address member issues.
  • Respond to member inquiries.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of five years of work experience in a financial services related area.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Two writing samples are required, one of which is limited to one page.
  • Work easily in a service-oriented manner with individuals from all levels of organization and cross-functionality in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of securities industry and legislative / regulatory structure it operates in.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / priorities.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
