Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, initiating appropriate diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
  • Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently based on your qualifications
  • Providing education to patients and families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
  • Prescribing necessary medications and therapeutic interventions as per your scope of practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management activities
  • Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, comprehensive care
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic health records (EHR)
Educational Background Needed
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
  • National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
