LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in Springfield, Massachusetts, 01104!

Pay Information

$325 per hour

About The Position

A well-established medical center is seeking a dedicated and board-certified Gastroenterologist for an inpatient locum-to-perm opportunity. The role focuses on providing high-quality care to adult patients through endoscopic and consultative services. This position offers a balanced schedule, professional support, and the potential for permanent placement.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Manage inpatient gastroenterology consultations across Floor, ED, and ICU settings.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies.
  • Carry a beeper overnight during the on-call period (approx. 1 : 4 rotation).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.

Job Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (Board Certification preferred).
  • Active Massachusetts Medical License (required).
  • BLS Certification (required).
  • ERCP Certification (preferred but not required).
  • Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred.
