Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to fulfill a software engineering role. This position will be part of our Test group at Collins in Burnsville MN. The Test group is comprised of subject matter experts test engineers and test technicians that support the various test areas on the Burnsville campus. Some of these labs include an environmental test lab an EMI / EMC lab and wind tunnel testing labs. These labs support research and development and the qualification of all parts manufactured within the value streams in Burnsville.

This is an onsite position based in Burnsville Minnesota.

What you will do :

• Works with managers engineers and technicians to identify and resolve gaps between the current software capabilities and the requirements of standards as well as clients.
• Independently completes software projects.
• Independently maintains troubleshoots and upgrades existing software.
• Works with internal clients to customize software to meet their testing requirements.
• Handles multiple projects at once and prioritizes independently.
• Trains others in the usage of software programs.
• Verifies that software commands hardware as expected.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
