The specialty for this position is Labor & Delivery (L&D) – High-Risk Obstetrics RN.

Summary of Key Details :

Unit : 14-bed L&D unit (5 triage / inpatient, 6 labor, 2 OR beds)

Certifications : ACLS, NRP required; RN-BC preferred

Experience : High-risk OB, C-sections, magnesium sulfate patients, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities : Scrub for C-sections

Manage high-risk OB patients

Perform full assessments and own exams

Tasking in OB / nursery without taking primary patient assignments

Charge nurse / unit leader 3 days / week

Systems / Charting : Meditech & GE (dual EMR)

Staffing / Support : Nurse aides, scrub techs, IV team, pharmacy 24 / 7, RT coverage

Shifts / Weekends : Nights; every 3rd weekend for days, Friday / Saturday for nights; travelers do not work holidays

Other : Floor-specific orientation (2–3 shifts), minimum BSN, parking stipend

This role is focused on high-acuity Labor & Delivery care, with strong emphasis on OB procedural skills and independent patient management.
