2nd Shift - Xray Lead

PURPOSE :

A Lead in addition to performing normal duties in their job classifications takes a leadership role guiding and directing work to a team of an assigned work area. Performs duties with limited supervision. Daily and weekly instruction and priorities are established and communicated by direct supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Prioritize and assign work to meet weekly ship requirements.
• Effectively utilize personnel skillsets in finishing to complete work efficiently.
• Ensure all personnel adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Support initiatives to reduce scrap and rework and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report all issues having a negative impact on productivity performance such as unacceptable work behaviors and performance.
• Provide pro-active employee support within the team. This includes but is not limited to ensuring all employees in Finishing have the proper PPE tooling and work instructions.
• Coordinate workflow to meet daily production goals.
• Executes the daily thruput plan adjusting as necessary.
• Assist in meeting variable cost budgets for work area for materials and supplies.
• Instill safe work practices in employees in team. Train in use of PPE and safe work practices. Identify and report on unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
• Ensure all 6S initiatives are understood and completed by all Xray Employees.
• Assist in the development and execution of training guidelines.
• Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.
• Proactively cooperate between teams / work areas and share resources when needed to meet plant goals and objectives.
• Ensure all company rules and regulations are followed.
• Actively supports all management policies programs and procedures.
• Performs other duties of greater or lesser complexity as required by the position or assigned by supervision.
• Provide proper OJT using established training guidelines and procedures.
• Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.
