Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Middle School Special Education Teacher position is available to provide meaningful support and specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within a public school environment. This role involves delivering differentiated curriculum based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), fostering inclusive education, and collaborating with educators and families to promote student success.
Key Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelors Degree in Special Education with a major emphasis on General Curriculum
- Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certification in Special Education General Curriculum
- Proven experience in implementing IEPs and delivering instruction tailored to special needs students
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and service providers
- Ability to maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with educational guidelines
Location :
Multiple schools in the Evans, GA area, including elementary and high school levels, with the primary assignment at a middle school settingResponsibilities :
Plan and deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goalsSupport classroom and school programs while supervising students to ensure a safe learning environmentParticipate in ongoing professional development activitiesCommunicate regularly with parents, staff, and specialists to align teaching strategies and student progressComplete required documentation and maintain compliance with school and district policiesPerform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall school communityPosition Details :
