Job descriptionSupervise foreman to lead safe and efficient roof system installations Visit job sites daily Conduct or participate in daily safety audits Train field staff in safety, work skills and efficiency Provide ongoing feedback to foremen regarding job performance Resolve complaints and grievances; assist with disciplinary actions when necessary Discuss opportunities for professional development Conduct annual performance reviews Recommend raises and promotions E nsure Production and quality goals Track labor hours and production against stated goals Schedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using Inventoried materials Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed Coordinate, supervise and manage subcontractors Monitor quality of installations D eli v e r Excellent Customer Service Ensure crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobs Submit reports and paperwork and otherwise coordinate communication between office and job sites Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents and thefts, and provide relevant documents, photos and assessments to the office Review final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billed Participate in manufacturer final inspection Safety Training : OSHA 30-Hour Card Good knowledge of state and local building codes including Uniform Building Code, and electrical and plumbing codes. Some knowledge of : construction site development; commercial construction, demolition, and remodel procedures Experience : determining roof types and estimating materials, hours, and replacement costs for commercial roofing projects; directing large-scale commercial roofing projects; interpreting roofing plans, specifications and standards; determining roofing product acceptability and developing warranties; developing and monitoring construction and contract documents. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, in English, and comprehend drawings and specifications, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Commercial Roofing Superintendent
We are growing our team and looking for a superintendent with commercial roofing experience that prioritizes safety and productivity.
Provide leadership to foremen, fostering safety, teamwork and discipline resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation
Provide consistently high-quality work and results
Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel and the public
- Effectively manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goals
E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned) :
Oversee field staff, assisting foremen with crew leadership
Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs
Review plans and sites, delegate crews and do all pre-job planning including but not limited to assist safety in creating site-specific safety plans and work plan efficiencies
Q UAL I FICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required :
High School Diploma or GED plus three years in a commercial roofing environment.
Considerable knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
