RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• Work on Transplant / Stepdown unit (34 beds)
• Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 3-4
• Med / Surg / Telemetry experience required
• Experience caring for patients with Heparin drips and PCA pumps required
• Stepdown / PCU experience preferred
• Experience with solid organ transplant (kidney, liver, or pancreas) preferred
• Perform wound and drain care including wound vac, chest tubes, and JP drains
• Work with equipment including bladder scanners, Mobilabs for lab draws, EKG machines, AccuVein, virtual sitter cameras, W.O.Ws, Hoyer lifts, Sara Stedy lifts, and sit to stand lifts
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Must be reliable, adaptable, and able to multi-task
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Work on 5A / 6A floors in A Tower building

This major healthcare facility operates a specialized 34-bed Transplant / Stepdown unit that provides comprehensive care for solid organ transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. The facility maintains advanced medical equipment and technology to support complex patient care needs and operates with a dedicated team of approximately 50 staff members. The organization emphasizes quality patient care through appropriate staffing ratios and specialized expertise in transplant medicine.
