Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure that all work is completed within set timelines. Prioritize and assign work orders to the team members based on the urgency and importance of each task. Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to identify any issues or potential repairs needed. Coordinate with fleet operators and other departments to understand their repair Lead Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred) Must be able to read and speak English fluently Experience with Class 8 truck maintenance (at least 1 year preferred) Must possess personal set of basic hand tools Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Plus Proven experience as a supervisor or manager in a truck repair shop or fleet maintenance facility. In-depth knowledge of Class 8 truck repair and maintenance procedures Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve high-quality results.
