Material Handler Mail Carrier

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to speak read and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills.
• Must have a clear and valid Texas drivers license and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Drivers requirements.
• Mail service or warehouse experience with a working knowledge of warehouse terms and experience in the operation of standard mail or warehouse equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
• Physically able to perform assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to 80 lbs. walk stoop stand climb ladders and stairs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

260 days

SALARY / PAYGRADE : $15.15 / HS4

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

Continual walking standing climbing stooping bending kneeling and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying.

Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding.

Exposure to dampness and humidity and slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
