Job descriptionProvide real-time Kazakh English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts. Adhere to USCIS / DHS interpreter standards and confidentiality rules. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits. Native or near-native fluency in Kazakh and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred). Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Excellent communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance. Competitive pay : $2835 / hour (rare-language premium). Remote work using secure USCIS-approved platforms. Paid training and professional development. Consistent assignments under a federal contract. Advancement opportunities in linguist leadership or quality assurance. Resume / CV highlighting Kazakh interpreting experience. Certifications (court, community, ATA, or medical interpreting credentials preferred). Availability for full-time or contractor roles.

We are seeking Kazakh Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kazakh, a Turkic language spoken primarily in Kazakhstan and among Central Asian diaspora communities, is a rare but strategic language often needed in asylum and immigration cases.
