The anticipated hourly starting rate is $19.31.
Minimum Qualifications
- A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of one year work experience in a related aviation or customer service experience preferred. Any combination of education and experience, which demonstrated the ability to perform duties effectively, may be substituted
- Must be able to prioritize job tasks that are occurring simultaneously in an extremely busy environment. Tasks include dealing with in-person customers, incoming & outgoing radio transmissions, phone calls and transaction processing
- Must be adaptable and able to multitask on a regular basis
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Schedule restrictions may apply during seasonal timeframes
Key Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with flight crew, aircraft owners and passengers in the delivery of service requestsProcess sales transactions for the purchase of fuel and ancillary aircraft services, including ramp and hangar parking, ground power, lavatory and water service, catering and gift shop purchasesPrearrange customer service requests for aircraft arrival and departure, hotel and rental car reservations, catering and miscellaneous transportation needsCoordinate the safe and expeditious transfer of customers and baggage through the terminal facilityInteract with customers on a one-on-one basis, while conducting frequent reviews of terminal amenities and facilitiesCommunicate with aircraft inflight via aviation band radio to coordinate arrival times and service needsPerform shift closeouts and balances; complete fuel reports and concierge request schedulingEmergency Response / Recovery Activities : Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.
