What Will This Opportunity Do for You

Youll grow your expertise and analytical skills through collaboration with a global cross-functional team ownership of a well-defined project and exposure to new technology and tools used to improve vehicles and customer experience.

Youll work closely with studio design teams and gain experience working on A-Class surface components development.

Youll be able to gain hands on experience on CAD design prototyping and functional testing and validations.

Design analyze build and test parts at component subsystem and full vehicle level.

Responsibilities

What youll do...

Youll work on packaging exterior systems and components within the vehicle architecture following Class A surface and design

Youll Interpret aerodynamics and CAE simulation test results integrate recommendations into exterior design

Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams within engineering manufacturing and purchasing to ensure system manufacturing assembly feasibility and serviceability. Support vehicle development milestones and prototype / production build events

Qualifications

Youll have...

Pursuit of a relevant Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields

A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Must be able to work from the Long Beach CA campus.

Must be able to dedicate 6 MONTHS for this engagement

Candidates must graduate and be available for full-time work prior to September 2026

Experience utilizing CAD for solid and surface constructions

Even better you may have...

Internship experience in automotive or related field EV preferred.

Experience with 3DX and CATIA Software preferred

Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with preferred to have experience designing mechanisms electromechanical components

Strong understanding of the materials and manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping composites paint and other surface finishes
