Cohen Children’s Medical Center , a Level 1 Trauma Center and major tertiary care center for children, is part of Northwell Health and is seeking Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join our expanding team in New Hyde Park, New York.

Qualified applicants must be in the examination process or board‑certified in Pediatric Anesthesia and have completed an ACGME accredited Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship.

Our pediatric anesthesiology team is nationally recognized for proficiency and innovation in pediatric regional anesthesia and acute pain management, providing 24 / 7 access to regional analgesia and anesthesia and performing a high volume of regional blocks for children. Faculty receive additional regional anesthesia training when needed and are eligible for an academic title with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. Faculty are involved in teaching for the ACGME pediatric anesthesia fellowship, residency in anesthesiology, and Zucker School of Medicine students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical specialties including neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, orthopedics, ENT, plastic surgery, urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, and transplant medicine.
• Perform sedation in non‑operating room settings such as MRI, GI, hematology‑oncology, cardiac cath lab, radiology, and interventional radiology, as well as ambulatory surgical center cases.
• Deliver regional blocks and acute pain management for pediatric patients 24 / 7, ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort.
• Contribute to educational activities for residents, fellows, and medical students at the Zucker School of Medicine.
• Collaborate with the Level 4 NICU and high‑risk maternal‑fetal medicine team at Long Island Jewish Medical Center for peri‑operative care of critically ill infants and mothers.
