Job Description
The Manager of Crew Planning is responsible for the day to day administration of the Crew Planning department, including direct report management of the Crew Planning Supervisor and Analysts. The Manager will oversee the creation of monthly schedule awards through the Preferential Bidding System (PBS) process that comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and crewmember labor agreements. The maximizing of crew resource efficiencies in the schedules is a core element to the success of Mesa Airlines. This position will require flexible scheduling to accommodate labor agreement timelines, but general office hours are the normal schedule.
Typical Duties Include (but not limited to) :
- Directly manage and scheduled a small team (4 to 6 employees).
- Manage processes and timelines for pairing construction, monthly schedule bidding / awarding, annual and monthly vacation bidding / awarding, and manpower planning / vacancy awards.
- Assist in the maintenance of monthly crew rosters and staffing data.
- Maintain and develop internal processes for the Crew Planning Department.
- Oversee system monitoring, testing, troubleshooting and implementation projects.
- Oversee department hiring and training, as well as team building and team member development.

Experience with Crew Scheduling and / or Crew Planning requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredThis is an on-site positionPreferred Qualifications :
Supervisor or Management experience preferredAssociate's Degree or higher preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Sabre CrewTrac, NavBlue PBS, or Jeppesen Crew Pairing Optimizer (or similar) software preferred
