As a
- Senior Transportation Engineer
- at Civil Site Group, PC, you will play a key role in establishing a new Transportation Division, bringing existing relationships to the firm and developing new ones. You’ll work on diverse projects, collaborating with a team of talented engineers and professionals to design and deliver transportation solutions that benefit people and communities. From roadway designs to traffic systems and pedestrian facilities, your work will directly shape the future of transportation in Minnesota.
- What You’ll Do :
- Design and Engineering Excellence :
- Lead the design of a variety of transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, intersections, and pedestrian facilities.
- Business Development :
- Drive business growth by leading the development and creation of proposals and presentations to help secure new projects, contributing to the growth of our firm.
- Collaboration and Leadership :
- Work alongside experienced professionals and lead a dynamic team to deliver projects from conception to completion. You'll mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and fostering a culture of teamwork and success.
- Client Relationships :
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, local agencies, and stakeholders. Become the go-to expert for clients on their transportation needs.
- Project Ownership :
- Take full ownership of your projects, from initial planning to final design, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Continuous Learning :
- Participate in industry events, workshops, and training programs to stay ahead of trends in transportation engineering and bring fresh ideas to every project.
- What You’ll Need :
- Bachelor’s degree
- in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Required.
- 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including expertise in roadway design and pedestrian facilities.
- Track record of successfully winning projects and delivering quality results.
- Significant experience in writing proposals, scopes of work and budgets for transportation projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as
- AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil3D
- Strong understanding of transportation standards (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA) and local regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative engineering solutions.
