Job Description

Knowledge :

Able to develop solutions to a wide range of complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to create written communication that is properly structured providing clear concise messages that draw well supported conclusions with some guidance from line manager where appropriate.

Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Good organizational and time management skills including working knowledge of project management tools and techniques.

In depth understanding and application of relevant principles concepts practices and standards along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices.

Working knowledge of relevant regulatory guidance including pharmaceutical GMPs and GDP.

Able to apply established organizational policies and interpret execute and recommend modifications to department policies and procedures as needed.

Basic Qualifications :

Ph.D. and 6 years experience; or

Masters Degree and 6 years experience; or

Bachelors Degree and 8 years experience; or

Associates Degree and 10 years experience; or

High School Degree and 12 years experience

Experience in pharmaceutical operations / cGMP environment highly desirable.

Excellent knowledge of logistics operations within Gilead and understands external best practices on a global basis.

Specific Job Responsibilities :

Supplier Performance Management (estimated 70% of role)

Has a track record of building relationships with suppliers to deploy Supplier Relationship Management and ensure suppliers are delivering Gilead objectives.

Can partner with Logistics Procurement to engage suppliers.

Will participate in the drafting of supplier agreements in conjunction with Procurement & Legal to ensure contracts terms and conditions comply with corporate and purchasing guidelines.

Demonstrated track record of driving supplier performance with some guidance.

Performance Reporting (estimated 30% of role)

Has a working understanding of logistics KPIs; what to measure standard definitions and appropriate targets.

Has experience of real-time performance reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Can deploy & deliver performance reporting of a suite of logistics KPIs on a monthly basis.

General

Process mindset with the ability to deliver process best practice and standardization.

Works on problems of moderate to advanced complexity where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables.

Can prioritize to support execution of a series of initiatives of differing levels of priority.

Can work with cross-functional stakeholders to agree priorities.

Can clearly articulate priorities and progress to a range of stakeholders including Exec. Director & Vice President level.

Creates and maintains a positive working environment to ensure high productivity.

Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that Gilead Global Logistics team are aligned with Good Distribution Practice and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.

Experience of working within a major logistics organization would be beneficial

The salary range for this position is : $157590.00 - $203940.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation including experience qualifications and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role) paid time off and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical dental vision and life insurance plans
