Job Description
Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate PER DIEM Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care. Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic areaProvide 1 : 1 treatmentEvaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needsDeliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of careEducate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniquesPlan, and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function, relieve pain, and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visitEvaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefitMust be willing to treat geriatric patients.Qualifications
Occupational Therapist Program GraduateLicensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New York or eligible.Mandatory Certifications : First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.Ability to travel to patients' homes within the assigned geographic territoryStrong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.Additional Information
