Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Endoscopy Technician Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel GI / Endoscopy Technician Location : [Shreveport, LA] Duration : 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm Potential) Schedule : Monday–Friday | 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM (may vary slightly) On-Call : Every 3rd week, after regular shift hours Weekends : Only when on call Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in health sciences preferred. Experience : Prior work in an Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit strongly preferred. GI Tech experience highly desirable, especially with ERCPs. Certifications : BLS (AHA) required. GI Certification from SGNA Associates preferred. Skills : Strong understanding of endoscope cleaning and sterilization procedures. Ability to multitask and maintain composure in fast-paced clinical settings. Team-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures. Provides various service related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure. Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments. Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopy procedures. Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques and endoscopy instruments.
