Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with previous IR experience and ARRT / ODH licensure for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within a comprehensive Medical Imaging department
  • Serve pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency / trauma center patients
  • Day shift schedule from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Call may be required and will be discussed during the interview
  • Uses the Epic EMR system; experience with Epic is required
  • Assist the Radiologist with IR procedures and provide support during medical emergencies
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to policy
  • Responsible for implementing radiation and safety protocols while maintaining sterile techniques
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures based on individual needs
  • Complete daily and weekly quality control checks as required
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all supporting documentation is obtained for each procedure
  • Orientation and annual competencies address care for all ages and psychosocial and cognitive needs
  • Scrub attire requirements follow department policy
  • Local radiology candidates within 30 miles are accepted at the same rate
  • No more than 14 days of requested time off are allowed during the contract

    • Requirements

  • Valid ARRT / ODH license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
  • Previous experience in Interventional Radiology is preferred
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
