Booking Specialist

Job Title : Detention Deputy

This position assists Detention Deputies in the total process of booking intakes and entering information into the computer, updating information received from court activities as well as processing inmates at release at the Walton County Jail. Work is performed in accordance with Sheriff's Office rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma, Florida General Education Development Test (GED), or out-of-state GED, with transcript of test results.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to operate computer, printer, fax machine, copier, and telephone.
• Applicant must be able to multi-task.

Physical Requirements : Sit up to 6 hours per day, stand up 1 hour per day, walk up 2 hours per day, frequently lift up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift up to 20 lbs., frequently bend, reach, or twist.
