Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Floor Nurse Job Duration : Full-Time Shift : All Shifts Available Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Not specified License : Current MA RN license Certifications : Current BLS certification preferred Must-Have : - Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred - Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Job Description : - Provide nursing and health care services to clinicians and patients. - Demonstrate strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making. - Perform nursing visits, assessments, evaluations, and patient education. - Be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications. - Review lab results and determine next steps for care. - Triage walk-in patients and patients over the phone. - Provide patient education on topics such as medication, asthma, and healthy eating. - Provide wound care treatment. - Conduct mental exams using SLUMS, RUDAS, and MOCA. - Perform purified protein derivative (PPD) testing. - May perform intravenous therapy (IV) insertion after training and validation if working in specific clinics. - Conduct functional assessments and vision screenings. - Be responsible for the quality control of vaccine fridges, crash carts, and oxygen machines. - Oversee the ordering and inventory of medication and vaccines. - Follow OSHA standards, identify potential safety hazards, and take action to remedy these situations.
