Come to Harlingen, Texas and take your career to the next level!  Tenet Healthcare is seeking a board certified, physician to join our leadership team.   This is an ON-SITE, full-time position.  While experience as a PA is preferred, candidates with a strong desire to succeed will be considered. In this pivotal role, youll influence utilization management, documentation integrity, and physician education to improve patient care and hospital performance.

What Youll Do

• Review cases for appropriate Level of Care and monitor observation stays
• Educate physicians and committees on utilization and documentation best practices
• Lead daily huddles, complex case conferences, and peer education
• Chair the Utilization Management Committee quarterly
• Manage payer denials, including peer-to-peer reviews
• Partner with CDI / HIM teams to improve documentation quality
• Partner with administration in reducing financial risks associated with denials as a result of unnecessary or preventable services and extended lengths of stay
