16-17.00 / hour

Minimum Experience / Education

Preferred Experience : A background in Box Office or House Management is preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills, an outgoing and positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure. Must be reliable, professional, responsible, and a good leader. Interest in the performing arts preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Seeking House Manager for the Performing Arts at UNC Charlotte College of Arts + Architecture. The House Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of Front-of-House operations during music, theatre, and dance performances. Duties include : Preparing the lobby and theater for a performance, managing and training student ushers, supervising audience seating, communicating with production staff to ensure timely starts and intermissions, maintaining the safety and comfort of all patrons and upholding the highest level of customer service.

Other Work / Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include working with the box office staff to address any patron complaints or ticketing issues, handling any issues that arise during performances such as cellphone usage or photography, and securing the building at the close of every shift.

Evening and weekend work is required during the academic year. Must have a flexible schedule. The House Manager reports to the Director of Audience Services.
