Job Title : Certified Pharmacy Technician

Location : Columbia, MD

Contract : 3-months contract with possible extension

Shift : 3rd Shift -Starts around 09 : 00 PM–10 : 00 PM. Open to 4-day, 10-hour shifts if needed (Monday to Friday – Overtime work needed)

Hours Per week : 40 hours per week

Pay Rate : as per expectations and experience

Responsibilities :

• Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle / dispose per procedure.
• Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times
• Packages materials and products manually.
• Pull / pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks).
• Apply labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check.
• Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication / product that is not scanning properly.
• Maintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA.
• Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and / or expected.
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Picking, labeling, scanning and otherwise preparing the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Team Composition : Collaborative team environment with pharmacists, technicians, and clerks working together to ensure timely prescription fulfillment.

Physical Demands :

Ideal Candidate Background : Prior experience in a pharmacy setting (retail or long-term care preferred).

Minimum (Required) :

Nice-to-Have Skills : Pharmacy technician with experience in a high-volume retail environment.

Licensing Requirements : Must be registered with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy (MDBOP).
