SUMMARY :

Position is responsible for the overall accuracy and efficiency of inventory counts. Inventory Control must organize inventories effectively.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • 1-year related experience

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :

  • Ability to operate sit down and stand-up forklift.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a professional manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship during each inventory event.
  • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, and other data entry terminals.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and innovative approach to learning and problem solving in a hands-on environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate an order picker lift proficiently.

    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

  • Maintain forklift, check water level, and keep it clean.
  • Complete daily forklift safety check list.
  • Follow standard procedures set by management.
  • Conducting regular physical inventory counts to verify the accuracy of records and identify any discrepancies.
  • Accurately entering inventory data into the system and updating records.
  • Investigating and resolving any discrepancies found between physical counts and computer records.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and movements using inventory management software or systems.
  • Provide continuous feedback pertaining to all events to the DC Manager / Inventory Manager.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible, including work hours.
  • Following all safety regulations and warehouse protocols.

    • OTHER DUTIES :

  • Other duties as needed and assigned by Manager.

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use keyboard, mouse and computers.
  • Ability to walk, sit, bend, stoop for prolonged periods.
  • Moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Warehouse environment – work in hot / cold temperatures through the seasons.
