Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : December 3, 2025 (or December 17, 2025)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown (16 beds)

Scheduling : 3-1-3 or 6 on / 8 off schedule provided at contract start

Floating : Required to other stepdown units within the hospital as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Mississippi

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests with a score of 80% or higher

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled (must be available for Christmas Eve or Day and New Year's Eve or Day)

Willingness to float to other stepdown or telemetry units as needed

Compliance documentation due 7 days before start date

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac patient conditions

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR system

Float to other stepdown or telemetry units as required

Maintain flexibility with scheduling and demonstrate commitment to travel nursing assignment

Participate in required orientation and ongoing clinical training
