About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Surgical Tech

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : CVOR Surgical Tech

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10hr Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 40 hours (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in General OR and 5 years in CVOR

License : Required certification and licensure based on role

Certifications : BLS, CST (preferred), graduation from an accredited program

Must-Have :

• Ability to discuss skills during an interview
• Demonstrated teamwork and inclusion in a clinical setting

Description :

The CVOR Surgical Tech plays a vital role in the surgical team.

The facility is a licensed bed teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma designation.

The surgical unit consists of 20 OR rooms and 2 Cysto rooms.

Common patient types and diagnoses include general surgery (GYN, General, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Colorectal), orthopedic procedures (Hip, knee, shoulder replacements, Sports medicine repairs, orthopedic trauma), neurosurgery (spine and brain tumor removal), and cardiovascular surgeries (open heart, valve replacement, and vascular procedures).

Candidates should have certifications including BLS and CST.

The position requires 6-8 call rotations per month.

Holidays may also require call responsibilities.

The unit emphasizes teamwork and safety for all involved in patient care.

The surgical team supports each other and fosters an inclusive environment.
